Duties and Responsibilities
- Implementing public communications strategies, policies and programmes;
- Collecting and collating information on articles in the media pertaining to the board and writing reports;
- Preparing media supplements and documentaries, press/media releases and feature articles;
- Screening media and publications touching on the board, responding to queries from the public;
- Assisting in editing publications and media liaison;
- Participating in preparing and organizing forums to promote and propagate the board’s agenda;
- Participating in organizing corporate events and launches;
- Collecting information on communication needs assessment, perceptions, attitude, corporate reputation and recommend intervention measures; and
- Assisting in media commentary and analysis of print, electronic and social media.
Requirements for Appointment
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Bachelor’s degree in any Social Science plus a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
- Proficiency in computer application skills.
