Returning Carter's clothes without a receipt?

We've been very blessed with generous family and friends who have gifted us many clothing items, lots of them Carter's. Unfortunately, we have TOO much in 6 month size and I'd like to return them for a bigger size, but none have gift receipts. Anyone have any luck returning to Carter's without receipts? I think some may have come from Kohl's, too, but there's no way to know for sure! Any experience with this?

It's hard because Carter's is sold in so many stores! I have been able to track down where it's from by opening each store app and trying to scan it. If I don't have any luck with that then I usually leave the tags on and re-gift it.

Yes this! I had this problem too and went to the carters store and they only took what just said carters. Carters just one you is target and Carters child of mine is Walmart (this one actually runs a little big)

I got 2 outfits for Christmas that were too big. My little girl is small. They were carters from the carter stores ( not kohls or target and other brands that sell carter) and I just exchanged for the right size and it was easy. They technically returned and repurchased so I ended up with a credit because one of the outfits was on sale vs an even swap.

They may exchange for same item bigger size if from the store. Target would too I think

Carter's will do it. I've done plenty of returns and exchanges with them, with and without a receipt. Also one time, I had already taken the tags off and washed but they were too small and they let me exchange for the bigger size
